Another first from Powerlite in the form of the world’s smallest ever starter motor – a MicroStart to replace the original 5” inertia type. Perfect for motorsport applications, the new MicroStart will fit a whole range of vehicles including the MG Midget, MGA, MGB (early inertia type only) MGTD, MGTF, Bristol straight 6, Sunbeam Alpine and Triumph Herald to name but a few. Weighing just 2.4 kilos, this tiny unit kicks out 1.3 kW of high torque power via an epicyclic gearbox. The nose cone is machined out of sturdy, solid aluminium and features an embossed Powerlite logo. The entire unit is not much longer than a ballpoint pen – perfect for tight, compact race engines.(Please note this unit is only suitable for Negative earth applications) .
