The 3 Basic Principles Behind Our Starter Motors (Click to view video) Powerlite offer a wide range of high torque gear reduction starter motors. The lightweight units offer increased cranking speeds and considerably more cranking power than original units, whilst drawing less current from the battery. The units are ideal for road competition applications, especially where engines have been tuned and adverse conditions require extra performance from the starter motor. All Powerlite starters are direct replacement for original units and require no modifications to the vehicle on which they are installed, as they work for both positive and negative polarity (Except the Slimline and MicroStart Range). The compact lightweight units are often easier to install than the original unit and units are modified where necessary to aid fitment.If your vehicle application is not listed within our Powerlite Starter Motors range, we will require you to complete the form below with the necessary information to assist with your enquiry. With multiple modifications to classic and motorsport applications, it's not always straightforward to get the right starter first time. If you have any queries about the correct fitment for your vehicle, please contact us and we will help. Based on a "Denso" style unit, this starter delivers huge cranking torque through a set of steel internal gears, drawing less current from the battery versus an original unit. Lightweight, compact and durable this unit uses minimum efficiency whilst delivering maximum power and has dual polarity.
