Powerlite is the brand name for our unique range of Performance Electrics, ideal for classic, competition and kit cars. The Powerlite range is manufactured exclusively by parent company Eurolec Components, and every single unit has been designed, tested and built by us to the highest possible standards

Eurolec Components is a family run, independent business with over 50 years’ experience in the rotating electrics industry. Originally established as a re-manufacturing company, we have continually changed our business model to fall in line with the industry and consumer, whilst retaining our core values of high quality and excellent customer service.

We use all of our pedigree and experience in each and every Powerlite unit and take pride in everything that we produce.

Our Powerlite brand was established around 15 years ago and has a fantastic reputation as the brand leader in Performance Electrics. It is trusted throughout the industry, from top end race teams like Radical and prestige manufacturers such as Aston Martin, right through to small workshops and the individual classic car enthusiast.

We have decades of experience, an excellent pedigree, an unrivalled reputation for quality and customer service and a comprehensive range.

We also have plans to keep the brand moving forwards with new developments to the fitment range and new products that suit both our product and customer portfolio.

In addition to the Powerlite range, we are also the UK’s leading re-manufacturer of classic starters, alternators and dynamos with a wide stock of complete units and components available.

Meet some of the team…

MICHAEL HADLEY – Joint Managing Director.

Michael joined the family company straight from college and has now been with the company for over 35 years. He has worked in every area of the business, from old core sorting to van sales, and his waistline has grown at the same pace as his knowledge of auto electrical parts. Michael's main role as MD is to oversee sales and marketing of the Powerlite range, along with new business development and new product lines. Along with Jason, he was instrumental in setting up the Powerlite operation, creating both the brand name and logo as well as the initial catalogues and range of parts. In his spare time, Michael is an author of comedy travel books (available at www.grumpymad.co.uk) and part-time stand-up comedian. He also writes hilarious company bios.

JASON SMITH – Design & Production

Jason is the technical brain behind the Powerlite operation. If Powerlite were a James Bond film, Jason would be Q. Jason has designed and tested every Powerlite unit in our range. He was also responsible for the innovative design of the “Dynalite” - our high performance dynamo replacement. Jason has been involved in car electrics throughout his working career, long before he went bald. After training as a bench auto electrician, he progressed to full vehicle wiring systems, diagnostics and breakdowns (vehicle, not mental. Although he has been close). He has been at Eurolec since 1998 where, along with controlling the Powerlite operation, he is also our plant manager and has responsibility for fixing broken machines and workmates. Outside of work, Jason likes to build and fly model aeroplanes and tinker with his self-built Westfield kit car.

ROB MANGER - Sales & Marketing Manager

Rob has had a professional involvement with race and performance road cars stretching back to the early 1980s, competing in many different single seat, GT, and touring cars. Highlights include championship wins and driving at some of Europe’s biggest race meetings and classic events. On the commercial side, Rob has over 25 years of experience, selling components to chassis manufacturers, distributors and end users from the club competitor to professional teams in F1, international touring cars and endurance racing. Still a keen club racer and motorsport enthusiast, Rob has a network of industry contacts and a wealth of product knowledge to benefit customers in all areas of automotive competition, fast road and classic motoring. Originating from Oxfordshire, Rob is the only member of the team with a posh accent. He is also the only member of the team not based in the Black Country and despite several years of elocution lessons, he still cor understand a waerd weem on abaht.

JULIAN ADAMS – Sales

Julian has been with the company since 1996 and is responsible for all aspects of parts sales and dispatch. Julian has an incredible, encyclopaedic knowledge of auto electrical parts and vehicle fitments, having been an integral part of the Eurolec re-manufacturing operation and now heavily involved in Powerlite. He knows more about starter motors and alternators than David Attenborough does about animals and is affectionately known in the office as “Joogle”. Customer service is one of Julian's main strengths, and he is held in very high esteem by both his colleagues and customers. His willingness to help customers and provide a solution to their problems has been one of the main reasons behind Powerlite’s success over the last 15 years.
